KT Tape for Runner’s Knee Injuries

Image

Do you like to run? Do you have bad knees or get knee injuries often? Do you like bright colors and want relief from knee pain? Try KT Tape! I just started using this stuff over the week for my knee injuries and it is totally replacing my bulky & heavy knee brace that is making me run slower. KT Tape PRO can even be worn in showers and can get wet and if you rub your knee with rubbing alcohol first it will stick up to 3-7 days. This is my new best friend and I’m not sponsored by KT Tape but if they offered then I would say “Hell YES!” I sent them a tweet saying they should make leopard print or glitter patterns and they said they will take that suggestion for future creations! KT Tape PRO comes in lime green, laser blue, hot pink, black, nude, purple, orange, and yellow. I’m experimenting with decorating my strips and first trying decorative duct tape. Here is a picture. I know it looks ghetto but i’m going to make them a lot cuter in the future.

Have you tried this? What do you think? If 50 people respond I will do a contest and the winner can get a free roll of KT Tape.

What My Son Has to Say to Dan Cathy of Chick-Fil-A

Reblogged from Raising My Rainbow:

Dear Mr. Dan Cathy,

My uncle is gay.  I love my uncle and his boyfriend and all of his friends. We have fun and hangout. I don’t think it is right for you to give money to stop my uncle from getting married.

People who are gay are humans just like us. They are not different in any way.  They are just people who want to be in love and get married to people of the same sex.

Summer 2012

Well, hello again.

I know i have so slacked on the blogging (insert guilty voice here). But, I have good news well I got accepted to University Of Central Arkansas (Go Bears!), i have learned to like new foods, and oh yeah i graduated high school. Ok, so maybe not as exciting as I had anticipated but I have new recipes that I have been working on since I have been home most of the summer when I wasn’t traveling or working at the local pool.  Ok, sorry grammar natzis I realize my grammar and punctuation is out of whack but hopefully I can get back at better blogging again.

iMap My Run App

I have downloaded an app in hopes of learning to run. I have wanted to complete a 5k since a month before my knee surgery, I just have been worried I will mess up my knee again. So far the last two weeks, I have been running/jogging and trying to go further each time before getting into walk mode; no stopping for me. The app that acts like a GPS, tracks your distance, tracks how fast you are going and pace, counts your calorie burn, all in all wonderful is iMap My Run.  I still need to invest in a arm band for my iPhone. Anyway, if you are a walker or jogger, or even ride a bike there are different modes for you. Best of all it’s free! Also, when you save your run or whatever you can make it public or private. Another thing, you can  find others in your area that use the same app, making new friends that share the same hobby is fun unless they are jerks. This app is great for beginners because it has a pause button, so you can take a breather if needed  and when you are done just click the stop button and it will prompt you to what to do next. If you are interested in trying it out, totally download it, it’s worth it.

Confessions

I have fallen off my own bandwagon. I have been sick twice in the last 3 weeks. I haven’t gone to the gym as much because I have been sick, or just lazy. I have stopped taking my diet pill, because of an episode of Dr. Oz. I have eaten banana pudding, ribs, and chocolate cake, and other not so good for you foods. I am very guilty. I have gained 3 of the 5 pounds I have lost back. I have an official roll that went over my pants today. I ate a sticky bun almost the size of my head today. I know what I need to do, but I’m not listening. If you are having these kinds of problems like me; we need to assess the situation, and think about what we can do to fix them. My issues: I choose to eat crap, therefore I feel like crap, then I don’t want to work out, and then I complain when I gain weight. It’s as simple as that. I like to eat after school, which is when I choose to eat crap. I really need to figure out healthy snacks, or occupy myself after school. Now, I’m asking for YOUR help. Do you have any ideas? I also need to get back into drinking 12-16 glasses of water a day, I just can’t get myself to do it anymore. My journey is no longer a new years resolution, it’s a goal to my happiness.

Maybe.
